We have released a hotfix that prevents cryptography >=39.0.1 from being installed alongside older versions of pyopenssl. This should resolve the issue for newly created conda environments.

Investigating

We are aware of the recent update to the python Crytography package (an update to 39.0.1) which conflicts with older versions of pyopenssl. Some conda users are expected to be unable to create TLS-secured connections while using conda.
We are working to provide an update which will resolve this problem for users. We expect to have an update to this statuspage incident within an hour of this posting.
